My name is Siavash

(pronounced Si: ɑ: 'væʃ)

I am a computational cosmologist at University of Southern California.

I write equations 📝 and code 💻, read papers 📑, and drink an excessive amount of coffee ☕️ on a daily basis. As an avid programmer, I am also keenly interested in developing software to help fellow researchers tackle new and interesting problems in cosmology and beyond!

My research is mainly focused on modeling, simulating, and analyzing cosmological data, with a particular attention to the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB). In the past, I have worked on statistical measurement of large scale velocity fields, and the implications of relativistic Doppler and aberration effects on CMB observations.

I am also a part of the Simons Observatory and the CMB-S4 collaborations.
